Subcategory of Vol. IV, Part I
Bhrigu Mandal
The Dwapara Yuga begins with the reign of Nahush and his grandson Yayati. This volume comprises four (Chapters) Mandalas—Bhrigu, Rajrishi, Savitri, and parts of the Dwita Mandala. In the Bhrigu Mandala, the towering figure of Rishi Parshurama emerges, who eradicates the Kshatriyas, blaming them for world disturbances. This era sees the Brahmins ruling all over, and their dedication to spiritual pursuits. We encounter Rishi Atri and Anusuya, revered even by the Gods, and learn of Dattatreya, embodying the spiritual essence of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara. The tales of Nala and Damayanti unfold, along with Nala's defiance of Kali, the Lord of the Iron Age, despite life's trials. The reigns of Dyumna, his grandson Dyumatsen, and Ashwapati, the first Lunar Dynasty Emperor, are also chronicled.
